Matt has almost 30 years of experience working in the fields of college admissions and/or college counseling. He completed a year of study at Oxford University and graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1994,
Matt started his career on the admissions side of the desk working for Saint Peter’s College (now Saint Peter’s University). He then worked as an admissions counselor at Vanderbilt University. Along the way, Matt earned an Ed.M. from Harvard. While at Harvard, Matt gained even more admission experience by being an application reader for M.I.T. where he reviewed files and participated in admissions committee meetings.
Matt decided that he wanted to work with high school students more directly and became the Director of College Counseling at the Portledge School, an independent day school located on Long Island’s north shore.
After his time in a private school, Matt switched to the world of public education. For the past 19 years, he has been a dean of students at a high performing school in Westchester County, NY.
Matt has learned the nuances of proper college advising and is extremely well versed in the trends and issues facing higher education today. He has also visited and seen hundreds of college campuses.
Matt is a member of many local, state, and national organizations, including WRPCA, NYACAC, NEACAC, NACAC, ICEA, ACA and College Board. He regularly attends conferences and has presented at several. Matt is very well versed in Naviance, SCOIR and the Common Application. He is also the SAT Test Coordinator and the ACT Assistant Test Coordinator at his high school.

Christina has almost 25 years of experience working in education. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved east to attend Gettysburg College. While there, she worked in the admissions office and majored in English literature. She graduated in 1997.
Afterward, Christina moved to Nashville and worked in Vanderbilt University's Office of Undergraduate Admissions as an admissions counselor.
After working in college admissions, Christina moved to New York and attended Teachers College, Columbia University, where she earned an M.A. in secondary education.
Christina has taught English and writing for over two decades. She was a faculty member at Sleepy Hollow High School, NY and is now an English teacher and the English department leader at a middle school in Westchester County, NY. Christina also has worked as an instructional coach.
Christina is an expert at helping students reach their full writing potential.
Matt and Christina have been married for over 20 years. They have two teenage sons, two cats, and live in Danbury, Connecticut.
